I Corinthians 10:13 (CEV) - You are tempted in the same way that everyone else is tempted. But God can be trusted not to let you be tempted too much, and he will show you how to escape your temptation.
Lately, I've been tempted a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean a lot lot. And to be honest, more than half of the time, I failed. Miserably.
Then, God randomly showed me this Scripture.
This is so encouraging. That means that WHATEVER I am going through, others are going through it too - and better yet, others have made it out already! (yay, hope! ^_^) YOU can handle EVERY temptation that comes your way - drinking, swearing, having sex, masturbation, "hooking up", stealing, lying, cheating - and God has created an escape for every one!
Could it be that we fall into temptation because we choose not to look for God's escape? Hmm. I know I haven't been looking. There's one thing I know though: temptation will come but God has created our escape - so put your flesh in order and win. TODAY.

Don't Give Up..
Are you confused?
Do you have NO idea where you're going in life? No?
Well, congrats to you!! Because thats how I'm feeling right now. *side eye*
Right now, I feel as if I'm trying my hardest to do right but I'm failing miserably. I feel as if God has abandoned me. I feel like I'm walking with a super-think, heavy-duty blindfold on. I feel like sin is overpowering me.
But every day, no matter how I FEEL, I have to pinch my lazy butt and remind myself that: "the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord." (Proverbs 37:23). So no matter how you FEEL, no matter how much you go on that porn site, no matter how many curse words you say, no matter how many of yours friends say, "You? Christian? Ha!" -- once you don't give up, God will order your steps.
I trust my earthly father enough to lead me into the right path when I am blindfolded. Your earthly father may have failed you, but God will never, ever fail you.
Last night, I had a dream, and in my dream the song "God is Able" by Deitrick Haddon was playing. This is in my spirit! Don't give up on God, cause he won't give up on you! Nothing may seem to be happening now, but just hang in there.. your change is coming!

Mr. Clean
Lets just say you lived in a SUPER-DIRTY house. Mounds of dirt are all over the floor; cockroaches are practically in Disneyland. You can't tell if your walls are white or green, because of the mildew. I mean this house is DIRTY.
What if there was some cleaning service that offered to clean it, free of charge? Would you say, "Let me clean up a little before you come to clean." or "Let me mop the floor before you start mopping." ?
I wouldn't!
That's how it is with God. He doesn't care how dirty you are. You could be so dirty that your parents disown you. You could be so dirty that you resort to alcohol, sex, porn, etc. to soothe your pain. You could be a prostitute, drug addict, thief, homosexual, cheater, fornicator, and the list goes on! But God doesn't care about all that; He wants to clean you just as you are! Isn't that amazing? He isn't waiting for you to change, he wants to change you, now!
When I got saved, I had tons of addictions, friends I shouldn't have, unclean desires, bad habits (like drinking & cursing). But God didn't care, He forgave me. I'm still struggling (nowhere near perfect!) but hey - God doesn't called the qualified, he qualifies the called.
Let Him clean you. Today. Oh, and yes, he does a MUCH better job than Mr. Clean.

"Regular" Christianity
Ok so I'm totally new to this blogging thing.. This is my very first blogggg! *yay!* As the months go on, I'll be an expert (just watch -- ^_^)
Question. You think clothes are normal because you grew up, seeing people wear them, right? I bet you were surrounded by naked people from birth it would be normal to you.
Growing up in the Bahamas, I must say I think we have a distorted view of Christianity. We say what other people say, we PRAY what other people pray, we think who other people think! We don't question anything; we don't seek God for ourselves. "A" is "A" because we were taught it was "A" ..but what if "A" were actually "B" ?
I don't know about you but from I knew how to spell my mind, I realized I thought differently than everyone else. I realized my preferences, my desires, my LIFE was different from everyone else. So, why is there a cookie-cutter mold, as to how a Christian, should seek God or live their life?
So, basically, thats what this blog is gonna be about. My ideals.
The Bible says that each person must work out their own salvation. WHICH MEANS -- I cant get true salvation, or even please God entirely, doing what someone else does! For example, people say Godliness is next to cleanliness. While this does sound appealing to the ear, how many people actually take the time out to research and determine for themselves if this is true?
I encourage you.. find God for yourself! I agree, not all Christians are victims of tradition, and a lot of them have wise words. But I vividly remember, one time in grade 12, I was in a race. When I was looking at my goal, I was good. But AS SOON as I turned my head to see what my opponents were doing, I lost speed and my focus, and came in fourth, when I was in a steady lead.
My goal is God. My goal is Heaven.
I'm not looking at how anyone else lives their Christian life. While I can learn things from everyone in some way, I have to make the determination & choice to get God. You can't get Him for me, and I cant get Him for you!
