Mr. Clean

Lets just say you lived in a SUPER-DIRTY house. Mounds of dirt are all over the floor; cockroaches are practically in Disneyland. You can't tell if your walls are white or green, because of the mildew. I mean this house is DIRTY.

What if there was some cleaning service that offered to clean it, free of charge? Would you say, "Let me clean up a little before you come to clean." or "Let me mop the floor before you start mopping." ?

I wouldn't!

That's how it is with God. He doesn't care how dirty you are. You could be so dirty that your parents disown you. You could be so dirty that you resort to alcohol, sex, porn, etc. to soothe your pain. You could be a prostitute, drug addict, thief, homosexual, cheater, fornicator, and the list goes on! But God doesn't care about all that; He wants to clean you just as you are! Isn't that amazing? He isn't waiting for you to change, he wants to change you, now!

When I got saved, I had tons of addictions, friends I shouldn't have, unclean desires, bad habits (like drinking & cursing). But God didn't care, He forgave me. I'm still struggling (nowhere near perfect!) but hey - God doesn't called the qualified, he qualifies the called.

Let Him clean you. Today. Oh, and yes, he does a MUCH better job than Mr. Clean.

"Regular" Christianity

Ok so I'm totally new to this blogging thing.. This is my very first blogggg! *yay!* As the months go on, I'll be an expert (just watch -- ^_^)

Question. You think clothes are normal because you grew up, seeing people wear them, right? I bet you were surrounded by naked people from birth it would be normal to you.

Growing up in the Bahamas, I must say I think we have a distorted view of Christianity. We say what other people say, we PRAY what other people pray, we think who other people think! We don't question anything; we don't seek God for ourselves. "A" is "A" because we were taught it was "A" ..but what if "A" were actually "B" ?

I don't know about you but from I knew how to spell my mind, I realized I thought differently than everyone else. I realized my preferences, my desires, my LIFE was different from everyone else. So, why is there a cookie-cutter mold, as to how a Christian, should seek God or live their life?

So, basically, thats what this blog is gonna be about. My ideals.
The Bible says that each person must work out their own salvation. WHICH MEANS -- I cant get true salvation, or even please God entirely, doing what someone else does! For example, people say Godliness is next to cleanliness. While this does sound appealing to the ear, how many people actually take the time out to research and determine for themselves if this is true?

I encourage you.. find God for yourself! I agree, not all Christians are victims of tradition, and a lot of them have wise words. But I vividly remember, one time in grade 12, I was in a race. When I was looking at my goal, I was good. But AS SOON as I turned my head to see what my opponents were doing, I lost speed and my focus, and came in fourth, when I was in a steady lead.

My goal is God. My goal is Heaven.
I'm not looking at how anyone else lives their Christian life. While I can learn things from everyone in some way, I have to make the determination & choice to get God. You can't get Him for me, and I cant get Him for you!
